Intra Chain Disulphide Bridged Peptides (ICDBP)

This database contains the secondary structure conformation and the amino acid residues flanking and corresponding to the half-cystines involved in an intra-chain disulphide bridge in proteins in the PDB. The number of residues connecting and including the disulphide bridged half-cystines corresponds to the length of the intra-chain disulphide bridged peptide (ICDBP). These ICDBPs have been classified based on length of the peptide and the corresponding secondary structure conformations. One can use the database by specifying the preferred secondary structure conformation corresponding to the disulphide bridged half-cystines and their flanking residues or the amino acid residues flanking the half-cystines, or both.
