The Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Facility at CSIR-CCMB (Established in 2019) is a premier genomics platform equipped with high-throughput short-read, long-read, single-cell, and optical mapping technologies.
The Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Facility at CSIR-CCMB is a state-of-the-art genomics platform supporting cutting-edge research and large-scale national genomics initiatives. The facility is equipped with advanced sequencing technologies, including the Illumina NovaSeq 6000, MGISEQ 2000, Oxford Nanopore PromethION P24, GridION, and 10X Genomics single-cell platforms, complemented by automated liquid handling systems from TECAN, MGI, Mosquito and Dragonfly for high-throughput library preparation. The facility provides rapid, accurate, and reliable sequencing solutions for a wide range of applications, including whole genome sequencing, whole exome and targeted panel sequencing, transcriptomics, metagenomics, single-cell genomics, structural variant analysis, and clinical genomics. In addition to serving CSIR-CCMB research programs, the facility offers sequencing services to academic institutions, hospitals, and industry partners across India
