We are the Genome Organisation and Nuclear Architecture lab based at Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology , Hyderabad, India. The primary research focus of the lab is to understand the role of genome organization and nuclear architecture in epigenetic mechanisms and hence the gene expression during development. We use fruitfly (Drosophila melanogaster) and zebrafish (Danio rerio) as model organisms of choice. We use genetics , molecular and cell biology combined with high-throughput genomics, proteomics and bioinformatic approaches to answer the intriguing and exciting questions in this field of biology.

  • "Science moves with the spirit of an adventure characterized both by youthful arrogance and by the belief that the truth, once found, would be simple as well as pretty" – James Watson
  • "Some men see things as they are and ask why. Others dream of things that never were and ask why not" – George Bernard Shaw
  • "The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity." – Albert Einstein
