Campus biodiversity register:
LaCONES campus has been carefully developed retaining several natural areas. The building itself has been designed in order to accommodate natural features such as rocks and trees. Therefrore, the campus has wildlife and a biodiversity register is being maintained to keep a record of these “inmates” and also motivate the students to observe and look out for them. This register is being updated regularly and has useful information of the campus biodiversity.

Rules and Regulations pertaining to the visit of architecture students to the Laboratory for the Conservation of Endangered Species (LaCONES)
Do`s
  • Students have to write a request of their visit to lacones@ccmb.res.in addressing to Dr. Karthikeyan Vasudevan, Scientist-in-Charge, LaCONES
  • Once the request is approved, student should deposit an amount of Rs. 2000 through online NEFT transfer to the CCMB Science Foundation Account, State Bank of India, Habsiguda branch, Hyderabad; Account No. 62452571911; IFSC code. SBIN0020087 and provide the transaction no. to our email address.
  • Students who require accommodation will be provided with a room in the LaCONES hostel (in campus itself) for a period of 12 hours @ 450/- per head
  • Prior booking has to be made in canteen for having breakfast/lunch/dinner on payment basis as per the non-member charges
  • One person will be accompany the student around the campus for about 20 minutes. Instructions conveyed should be strictly adhered to.
  • Photography is allowed only outside the campus and in the corridors
  • Sitting /Relaxation space is restricted to the lounge area in the ground floor.
  • Enter your personal details followed by your observations/remarks of your case study in the register placed in the ground floor reception area of LaCONES before you exit the campus

Dont`s
  • Entry restricted to the campus upon no request and no spot payments will be available
  • No scientist or staff interaction is allowed during the visit
  • No maps or plans will be provided related to the architecture
  • Photography and recording of images is strictly prohibited inside the laboratories and cages
  • Entry is strictly restricted to the laboratories/operation theatre and instrumentation halls whereas you can use the corridor space to move around
